About the Thorntree
Country Club Course

Thorntree Country Club was built in 1983 by the Richard Mai Family. For five years, it played host to the Byron Nelson qualifying tournament, PGA Tour stage qualifying and sectional qualifying for the Texas State Open. Rated as one of the toughest courses in the Dallas/Forth Worth area by the Dallas Business Journal, this challenging golf course offers you flawless fairways and beautifully manicured Champions Bermuda greens on which to test and improve your skills time and again. Thorntree Country Club’s 18-hole golf course provides an inspirational golf experience for players of all ages and abilities.

Shoe Club
Keep your shoes looking sharp throughout the year! Unlimited shoe cleaning is available for $12 per individual or $18 per couple

 Individual shoe shines are available from the Shoe Room attendant for $5 per cleaning. 

Hole-In-One Club
The Hole-In-One Club is an opt-in group of members. When a member of the Hole-in-One Club scores golf’s greatest achievement, a Hole-in-One, the members of the club are billed $4.

The golfer making the hole in one will receive golf shop credit for the amount of those charged.

At Thorntree Country Club we know every group is different. Because of this, we customize all our menus specifically for your groups needs. If it is a box lunch or a plated dinner, our professional staff will cater to your needs. Contact our Director of Catering who will walk you through every aspect of planning a great meal for a great tournament!

Tournament Request



Open to all male members of Thorntree Country Club. The annual membership dues are $30 and are billed through the club. The MGA has monthly events on Saturdays which usually cost $25 plus the cart fee per event. Thursday afternoon is MGA Play-Day with formats that vary weekly. Senior Interclub

For gentlemen age 50 and over play in an interclub league through eight months of the year. There is no charge to sign up for the interclub, but event entries are $35 per event. This is a team competition played in a modified stableford format. To sign up for the Interclub, please contact Jack Easter via e-mail, or Bert Walker at the Thorntree Country Club golf shop.

Ladies Golf Association

Open to all women members of Thorntree Country Club. The annual membership dues are $40. The dues fee is paid directly to the LGA President. There are three different play-days each week. The 9-hole group plays on Wednesday mornings at 9:00 am during daylight savings time and 8:30 am during daylight standard time. The 18-hole group plays on Thursday mornings at 9:00 am during daylight savings time and 8:30 am during daylight standard time. There will is a Saturday morning LGA Group on select Saturdays at 11:00 am. The LGA also participates in Dallas Women’s Interclub, Tri-Club, and Dallas Women’s golf Association, playing different at different clubs each month. Instruction & Clinics


Clinics are available for civic groups, associations, golf outings, ladies, seniors, and juniors, from beginners to advanced players. Rates will vary based upon the number of individuals and the time requirements. Please contact the golf professional staff for a price quote.
